Starting with the honey yellow underglaze on the inside, pierced honeycomb shapes to let the golden glow spill out and the shining gold and black bees, honeycombs and patterns of buzzing…the details of this lady go on for days. The lady and the honey pot are hand thrown on a potter’s wheel of stoneware clays, and brought to life with hand-sculpting. They are finished with a clear glaze and the 22k gold luster and decals are added in a third firing. She makes a great gift!

Battery-operated lights are recommended as clay conducts heat and she gets very hot to the touch with an open flame inside.
